“A single sunbeam is enough to drive away many shadows.” St Francis of Assisi
“What hurts you, blesses you. Darkness is your candle.” ~ Rumi
Each and every day bow before the sun and offer thanks for your strong and courageous body, thanks to your beautiful open heart that serves continually. Your eyes that can see the grace and suffering in all things, your ears that listen for and to the subtlest of prompts and your wisdom that transcends your own mortal sufferings. For if you do the universe will exalt you now and forever more, from your spring until the autumn of your fading glow. For we are all but a brief moment in time, yet it’s not who we think we are or who we’ve been told that we are that is important. It’s how we live our lives, it’s how we search for truth, it’s how we serve and bring joy and hope to all hearts in need. For to truly live is to embrace selflessness and to begin to raise ones vibration. As such death and rebirth are so much more than moments in time. For they are indeed one in the same, the product of how we live from our heart, how our soul evolves, how we serve and bring joy and hope to the warmest and even the coldest of hearts. For that is to truly live selflessly and to be at one with all things, for that is the way of the Surya. That said; below are three little body of works that perhaps better crystallise each souls journey of sun to son and son to sun.
Eternal Love is The Call of Souls
On a bright summers morning at the cusp of a new dawning, into the darkness I walked. Deeper and deeper into the darkness I walked. All alone and yet not so. Deeper I descended, deeper and deeper into that starkest of darkness. Quite unimaginable darkness that terrified, energised and illuminated my soul. Deeper, yet; still deeper I descended into that darkness. All alone and yet not so. When as if like magic it all fell away. The fear, the unknowing and the uncaring self, they all fell away. All alone and not so. Until and lo and in that darkness, I found the very spark of life and what it is to truly live. And further and still deeper into that darkness I was to uncover much, much more. For the not really me simply fell away too, leaving me naked, ungrounded and lacking in orientation. A surreal punctuated pause in which the angels in unison sang; the great song of peace in absolute balance with time itself. Whilst I was being taught and brought into knowing that I such a worthy soul had been blinded to the true extent of my eternal potential. Yet in that awakening the chattering mind was distinctly ill at ease. In fact not at all could the mind accommodate such depth of knowing from deep within that darkness. For it knew that the unleashing of such knowing was indeed the end of beginning. As such it was prepared to fight with great might using all the tricks at its disposal for this was a war and not its salvation. Therein; growling and screaming to be heard with the energy of a black hole, the chattering mind did wholeheartedly commit to the chattering of my defeat. Until stillness and a spell binding moment of momentous revelation did come upon that place dissolving the mind with love. For a call it did come calling, from deep within that blinding darkness. First with a whisper, then with a roar followed almost simultaneously by a distinct cosmic smile of absolute knowing. Awaken, awaken dear soul and remember where you come from and who you truly are. For its time, indeed the right time for you to quickly arise from your slumbers of blindness. Yes; its time, indeed the right time for you to be at one again with the majesty of all things. And in that moment the darkness it was no more, no more, no more. For all was love and great knowing and the angelic realms they did sing in splendour and raptures. And the aloneness of unknowingness was in that moment instantaneously replaced. By the blessing of wholeness, that is one with god.
To Serve is to Evolve, to Evolve is to Know
I arrived here so full of life, so full of light and so eager to explore, to love and be loved and they attacked me like rabid dogs all desperate to destroy me and feed upon my chi. And I cried out, my lord, my lord please come and help me, but my pleas they went unanswered as they echoed in the darkness that tormented me. Still and I don’t know why, I continued to love you lord and O how I served you my lord, for not to do so made no sense to me.
I picked myself up, dusted myself down and prepared to embrace this lowly place in all it’s contradiction and they attacked me, they abused me and they robbed me leaving me without a home, without a life and lacking in vitality. And I cried out lord, my dear lord please come and help me. But my pleas yet again went unanswered and I didn’t know why, still I continued to love you lord and O how I served you my lord, for not to do so made no sense to me.
The news it did arrive that my body was in decline and as I acknowledged that state l looked to build bridges with all before I returned home. But they slandered me, they attacked me and revelled in my demise. And I cried out; my lord, my lord please come and help me and the silence it was most deafening. When then came the reply, my son, my son I’m so very proud of you well done and I knew then why I love my lord and O why I choose to serve.
When? And The Setting of Your Sun
When you awaken each morning to discover you’ve been reborn again, what is your preoccupation little soul, is it service of self or service to and for others? Are you moved by poverty, suffering and loss? or is your motivation purely self gratification and disregarding all other souls? When you encounter misfortune and those seeking help, the homeless, the sick and the dying amongst many, tell me little soul what is your inclination? Is it how may I help and how may I serve? Or is it you simply say look this has got nothing to do with me, I’m way above such things. When you think about your being are you at ease with all that you are? Or do you strive every day to be better and wiser than you were the previous day? Do you ask questions of yourself and continually seek out wisdom? Or do you see yourself as imperious and therein; beyond reproach? When the sun sets on your brief moment in time, how will the stars and the cosmos record your passing? Will they be gushing in praise of the wealth you amassed and the status you achieved? Or will they simply smile in acknowledgement of a life lived well? You see; the answers to these questions little soul defines how we all choose to spend our future incarnations and that’s why the wisest souls always choose love and always choose service, for the light of god, cannot be extinguished, fact !
“There is a time for talking, a time for silence, a time for living and a time for dying too, yet our worlds are only ever changed for the better by; those souls who serve our heart, mind, body and soul.” ~ Barry Hardy
“The journey is the thing.” ~ Homer
“Only the strongest of souls can bring light into darkness, wisdom into lacking and love to replace hate, for they have mastered the lesson of mortal suffering and have risen to the challenge of service.” ~ Orion Bright Star
”Seek the light, trust the light, be the light and ask the light to always be with you” ~ Barry Hardy
“Be generous in prosperity, and thankful in adversity. Be worthy of the trust of thy neighbor, and look upon him with a bright and friendly face. Be a treasure to the poor, an admonisher to the rich, an answerer of the cry of the needy, a preserver of the sanctity of thy pledge. Be fair in thy judgment, and guarded in thy speech. Be unjust to no man, and show all meekness to all men. Be as a lamp unto them that walk in darkness, a joy to the sorrowful, a sea for the thirsty, a haven for the distressed, an upholder and defender of the victim of oppression. Let integrity and uprightness distinguish all thine acts. Be a home for the stranger, a balm to the suffering, a tower of strength for the fugitive. Be eyes to the blind, and a guiding light unto the feet of the erring. Be an ornament to the countenance of truth, a crown to the brow of fidelity, a pillar of the temple of righteousness, a breath of life to the body of mankind, an ensign of the hosts of justice, a luminary above the horizon of virtue, a dew to the soil of the human heart, an ark on the ocean of knowledge, a sun in the heaven of bounty, a gem on the diadem of wisdom, a shining light in the firmament of thy generation, a fruit upon the tree of humility.” ― Baha’u’llah
